Brand Guidelines

Using Imagery

When using any imagery, be sure to follow these guidelines and ensure that we have the rights to use them.

When using imagery do not place the Codeweavers logo on the image.

Imagery we use:

  • Imagery of people, should be in focus and friendly
  • Colour and warmth should be natural
  • Product imagery and screenshots should be in devices
  • Imagery should relate to the message
  • Imagery with a subject, should be in focus
  • Apply and use the rule of thirds
  • When photographing people, actors should not be used.

Imagery should be used across social media posts, email marketing, blog posts, PR and other communications. The imagery should relate to the subject or story around the communication.

  • We should use candid pictures of people in action, posed pictures should not be used.
  • If multiple people are in the photo they should be interacting with each other. For example, a retailer and a customer chatting.
  • If the person is alone in the photo always make sure that they are shown with positive connotations. For example resting in a hammock.
  • We choose bright and solar palettes.
  • We should use images to suggest a feeling, not to describe a situtation.

Illustrations should be used for communicating broader topics and for speaking more generally about our products.

Our illustrations represent a concept, they are suggestive of an idea. They should not be descriptive. These are most commonly used within marketing communications and emails.

We use a flatter style for our icons. They should be used within our products and show meaning to the user.
